The Institute for Emerging Issues held it’s 29th annual forum on February 10th and 11th. This forum provides North Carolina’s citizens a chance to come together and discuss emerging issues in education. Speakers at the forum included June Atkinson, Governor Pat McCrory, Karyn Dickerson, and Ron Clark. Angie Sigmon, was selected from over three hundred applicants to participate in this forum as a Teacher Ambassador. She had the opportunity to brainstorm ideas for placing high-quality teachers in every classroom across the state. Sigmon states, “This forum gave educators the opportunity to share ideas with those who make decisions for NC education.”
This is a true honor for one of our own teachers. Congratulations to Angie Sigmon!
