Catawba County Parenting Network Offers Support!

 

PNIf you are looking for ideas, support, or resources for raising your little ones, please take advantage of the following classes, offered by the Catawba County Parenting Network. See information below:

You and Me, Baby! For Single moms and all moms of babies birth to age 5. Moms enjoy fellowship, a light meal, childcare and great topics each month which are very relevant to their growing baby! The group will meet on Wednesday, September 10th, at Viewmont Baptist Church from 6-7:30 p.m. Program and childcare are FREE to participants.

Love and Logic is for parents with children ages 3-12. This is a one night preview/workshop to introduce parents to the basics of this wonderful, award-winning curriculum which teaches parents how to raise responsible, respectful kids and develop ways to have more fun in their parenting role. Thursday, September 18th, at Blackburn Elementary, 6-8 p.m. There has been a big response already from the marketing of this class, so don’t wait to reserve your spot!

Dads’ League is for fathers with kids of all ages! Engaging topics and fellowship with other dads, with a special emphasis on maintaining open lines of communication with your kids and helping them to be confident and successful in school. Next meeting is Thursday, September 18th, at Hickory Foundation YMCA’s Teen Center from 6-7:30 p.m. Pizza and childcare are provided to participants.

Spanish Active Parenting Now is for parents with children ages 3-12. Class teaches parents to instill better cooperation and ways to avoid power struggles with their kids. It also equips parents with practical strategies to help their child develop self-esteem and courage. The group meets Wednesdays, September 24th through October 29th 6-8 p.m. Note: SIX sessions.  Sweetwater Early Childhood Education Center (Old Sweetwater School).

Active Parenting Now is for parents with children ages 3-12. Class teaches parents to instill better cooperation and ways to avoid power struggles with their kids. Also equips parents with practical strategies to help their child develop self-esteem, courage, and school success. Mondays, October 6ththrough November 10th , at Viewmont Elementary School, 6-8 p.m. SIX sessions.
