Have you ever thought about going through the process to become Nationally Board Certified?
Are you National Board Certified and need to renew in the next two to three years?
Are you in the middle of the National Board certification process?
If you answered yes to any of those questions then please plan to attend our National Board Certification introductory meeting on Thursday, October 16th at 3:30 in room 216 at Newton-Conover Middle School.
The process of board certification allows teachers to sharpen their skills, demonstrate their talent in their academic environment, and show their dedication to their students and their profession.
The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards has started a three-year revision of their certification process. The new process is committed to removing some of the non-professional barriers that have kept teachers from pursuing certification in the past. Marci Harvey, from the NCEA NBPTS Caucus, will be here to introduce the new process, discuss the timeline of the new process roll-out, and answer any other questions that you have.
If you have any questions before the meeting please don’t hesitate to email Newton Conover’s National Board Certification Support Coordinator, Brian Smith, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
