N-CCS November 2014 BOE Meeting

BOE November 2014 025The November 2014 N-CCS Board of Education Meeting began with heart-felt celebrations pertaining to the many great things happening in Newton-Conover City Schools.  The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance, led by Shuford Elementary students who serve on the Executive Board of the Student Council. These young leaders were Chancellor Stull, Xavion Coulter, Emma Sterling, and Yasmen Johnson.

BOE November 2014 028Discovery High School Principal, Mr. John Robinson, was then recognized for Discovery’s impressive 100% Graduation Rate for the 2013-2014 school year.

BOE November 2014 032Conover School Assistant Principal, Mrs. Priscilla Palmisano, recognized two very dedicated parent volunteers, Mrs. Debbie Carter and Mrs. Mary Bonnett. She saluted them for their time, talents, and creativity when working with the students and staff members at Conover School.  BOE November 2014 035

Newton-Conover High School Principal, Mr. Kevin Campbell, recognized Kelly Grove, Angie Harris-Ramseur, and the Keep Catawba County Beautiful Committee for their skill and dedication in improving the grounds of the N-CHS campus.

BOE November 2014 038Lastly, Newton-Conover Middle School Principal, Ms. Kim Kaylor, recognized some of her very successful and results-oriented  6th grade teachers, Ann Catchings, Scottie White, and Kristy Smith. She also publicly acknowledged the hard work and talented organizational skills of ISS Coordinator Brian Dellinger, as well as his family, for their leadership in the recent Project Unite activities that took place at N-CMS on Saturday, November 8th.

The evening served as a wonderful reminder of why we are proud to say, “We are Newton-Conover!”
