Recently, Shuford Elementary celebrated Unity Week. This week brought awareness about bullying and emphasized the importance of being kind. Shuford also had theme days and activities throughout the week. Wednesday, January 21st, was Multi-Cultural Day. On this day, students and staff members were encouraged to wear clothing from a different country or culture. Many of the students showed up with beautiful clothing from all around the world! These themed days and activities were planned by staff members to promote love, understanding, and acceptance. Students benefited from sharing their differences and likenesses in a safe, supportive environment.
