The 100th day of school is a very special day! Students around our district celebrate the 100th day of school by doing various activities related to the number 100. The students are actively involved with hands-on activities where they develop graphs using cereal, count to 100 with various objects, and create hats to represent the number 100. The teachers challenge the students to utilize their own creativity while participating in these activities.
At North Newton, Mr. Whitener visited the classrooms to celebrate the 100th day of school by reading to the students. The students were intrigued by the guest reader! Check out the photo on this page! Maybe his grandmother showed up to read instead of him.
The teachers in our district are dedicated to finding ways to bring excitement to the classroom. Each day in the classroom provides the students an opportunity to use all reading and math skills effectively. The teachers at Shuford Elementary School even got into the spirit by dressing up as 100 year old teachers. Just imagine how much fun the students had in class on this special day!
