Reminder that Digital Learning Day is here! It’s Friday, March 13.
Digital Learning Day was created by the Alliance for Excellent Education in 2012 as part of a nationwide celebration for students and educators to show how technology can transform and personalize learning for all students.
Digital Learning Day is a powerful venue to highlight great teaching practice and showcase innovative teachers, leaders, and instructional technology programs that are improving student outcomes. This grassroots effort blossomed into a massive nationwide celebration as teachers realized that Digital Learning Day is not just about technology, it’s about learning and promoting how teachers can use modern tools afforded to every other industry to improve the learning experience in all K-12 public schools.
Since Digital Learning Day’s inception, thousands of teachers and schools across the nation have held local activities, and last year alone, an estimated 10 million students and educators participated. This year, the Alliance is partnering with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (National Board) and its annual Teaching & Learning Conference of 3,000 of the nation’s highest quality teachers and administrators.
