The classroom was full of lots of ooos and ahhhs when all the fifth graders participated in Hour of Code at North Newton. Students worked together to create a certain set of directions. Errors were just opportunities to try again. Since participating in the Hour of Code, my students have investigated the coding on games or apps we use daily. I have seen quite an interest in problem solving when I present a problem with a game context. Planning for this day was fun because I also investigated how to code for Minecraft, Star Wars, and Frozen. It can be addicting! Bring on Hour of Code 2016!
