Mischief Meets His Match

k6k14A leprechaun is known for his mischief, but he finally met his match this week in South Newton kindergarten! Kinders in Mrs. Candace Styers’ and Mrs. Leah Hayes’ classes worked together to design and create leprechaun traps. South kinders have been learning and practicing Leader in Me Habit 6: Synergize. Through creating leprechaun traps as a team, the students learned that in order to be successful, they must value each other’s differences and work together to seek third alternatives. Mrs. Styers commented,  “The students’ synergy while working on STEM activities such as these never ceases to amaze me! They rock it out every time!” These students also incorporated technology by using QR codes and the app ChatterPix to make their traps “entice” the leprechaun.
