Big Leaders Learn From Little Leaders

On Monday, April 24th, South Newton student leaders hosted over 50 adult leaders from the Catawba County community. The focus of the day was Leader in Me and the 7 Habits. Students spent time teaching the adults the 7 Habits of leadership and personal effectiveness and shared how the habits have made a positive difference in each of their lives. The students also shared their individual leadership notebooks and WIGs (wildly important goals). Other activities of the day included a tour of the school and South Newton’s awesome classrooms while focusing on individual and collective mission statements. The adult leaders ended their visit with “cookies and cola” and a Q&A session/discussion panel hosted by the student leaders from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade.

The adult leaders are employees of EZWay Auto Sales and have been participating in 4D-360 Leadership Development over the past year with Catawba County leadership expert Bruce Schronce, President of StrongLead.
