Ms. Eileen Cangemi was recently announced as being the Newton-Conover Exceptional Children’s Teacher of Excellence. She serves as an exceptional children’s teacher in an elementary classroom at Conover School. Ms. Cangemi works tirelessly to ensure her students receive an appropriate education in a nurturing environment on a daily basis. She works closely with her peers and is a part of many school-wide initiatives. She is a school leader as her peers look to her for guidance, ideas, and energy.
Ms. Cangemi has a wealth of knowledge and is an excellent role model and mentor to her fellow teachers. Eileen never complains and will do anything asked of her. She is a leader in adaptive materials and books and inspires those around her with her passion, love, and dedication. She adapts and creates many materials and resources with perfection. She desires for her students to have the best experience possible. When students are absent she makes videos to send to them. Her high energy is second to none!
Ms. Cangemi is a leader not only in her classroom, but for the school as a whole. She serves as the school webmaster, has served on the school improvement team, grade level chair, committee chair, and any other roles asked of her. Ms. Cangemi has also served in the past as a mentor. She has also received an innovative grant for materials for her classroom to enhance her instruction. Ms. Cangemi is an asset to Newton-Conover City Schools and is a true blessing to work alongside. She will be recognized at the Exceptional Children’s conference in November in Greensboro.
