Newton-Conover City Schools would like to thank ZF Corporation for their dedication to promote and enhance STEM and contribution of $2,000. Through the ZF Community Care Fund Grant program – all elementary schools in Newton-Conover City Schools can expose STEM in the K-5 setting, promote STEM skills, and build enthusiasm and excitement for learning by having the resources for a mobile STEM lab. ZF Corporation has allowed us to work collaboratively with a real difference in the lives of the kids we serve and it means the world to us! Thank you again for your generous contribution to the education of our elementary students.
The definition of STEM education is teaching and learning that aligns with the engineering design process to engage students in ways of critical thinking, reasoning, cooperative teamwork, investigation, and creative skills that are real-world and relevant to today’s society. STEM anchors to the content in areas of science, technology, and mathematics but also complements courses in the arts, humanities, and healthy living.
