NCHS Receives Catalyzing CTE Through Enhanced Career Pathways Incentive Funding Competition

Newton-Conover City Schools LogoCatawba Valley Community College LogoNewton-Conover City Schools would like to thank the Department of Public Instruction’s Career Technical team for providing funding of $25,000 to Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) and $50,000 to Newton-Conover High School (NCHS) for the 2017-18 school year.  Newton-Conover City Schools, (NCCS) has a responsibility to students and community to address the lack of preparation to be future ready and help shift the mindset that career success.  NCCS recognizes the need for growth of our community heavily relies on future workforce and has made a commitment to take a stance to ensure longevity within the community.  The grant will allow us to reach out goals by continuing to strengthen the partnership between NCHS and CVCC along with our business partners to catalyze our career pathways through implementation and increasing positive outcomes for individuals and employers through promising pathways implementation practices.
