N-CCS Board of Education Recognized by North Carolina School Boards Association at Region 7 Meeting

Board Member Jeanne Jarrett accepts award from North Carolina School Boards Association

On September 27, 2017 the Newton-Conover City Schools Board of Education was recognized by the North Carolina School Boards Association (NCSBA) as a Silver Bell Award recipient. This award is given to North Carolina School Boards that exceed the training requirements set forth by the NCSBA. This recognition exemplifies the dedication and commitment the Newton-Conover City Schools Board of Education have demonstrated in continuing to grow professionally in their vital role.

The Region 7 meeting was held at Avery County High School and was attended by school boards from the 20 school districts that comprise this region. Newton-Conover City Schools Board members attended sessions in which pertinent topics were presented by the legal team from the NCSBA as well as by other practitioners who are experts in their respective realms.
