Over the last five years, the vision and mission for Newton-Conover has been focused on finding ways to empower our students and staff to be innovators, creators, and leaders in all aspects of school and community. We are proud to say that our students and staff are achieving excellence in many ways — most recently, as one of 6 districts in North Carolina with all schools meeting or exceeding expected growth and no schools with letter grades of D or F. This is an incredible accomplishment, and a testament to the hard work that our students and staff are doing in every classroom, every day!
Dr. Stegall, our Superintendent who is currently among the final 8 Superintendents in the running for the NC State Superintendent of the Year, has played a pivotal role in establishing and empowering this vision and mission. This video was created as a way to tell a story about the last five years in N-CCS. This video will be reviewed by the state committee evaluating each of the remaining 8 Superintendents.
Good luck, Dr. Stegall!
