Administrator Spotlight: Elizabeth Bustle

In honor of Principals’ Appreciation Month, Newton-Conover City Schools will be spotlighting its incredible Principals from now through the end of October.  Today’s feature is on Ms. Elizabeth Bustle, Assistant Principal of Newton-Conover High School!

Mrs. Bustle a Teaching Fellows scholarship recipient who graduated from NC State University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Secondary Science Education and a minor in Crop Science. She taught high school Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and Biology at Davie High School in Mocksville, NC for 16 years (DHS Teacher of the Year in 2012 and Davie Co. Teacher of the Year in 2004).  Doing evening graduate school at UNC-Charlotte, she completed her Masters Degree in Secondary Science Ed. in 2007, and then continued my education with an add-on licensure in School Administration from Gardner-Webb in 2011.  This is Ms. Bustle’s third year as an assistant principal at Newton Conover High School.

Responsibilities:  Teacher Observations, Discipline, Co-Testing Coordinator, Buses, Curriculum and PLC’s


About Leah Bobbett

Leah attends Lenoir-Rhyne University as a senior. At Lenoir-Rhyne she has taken coursework in public relations, broadcast, journalism, and public speaking. She has also taken classes on argumentation, advocacy, and rhetoric. During summers previous she has worked with a number of organizations, to assist in their public relations departments, their social media departments, and planning events for them. On campus, she is currently the social media director for the SARA Club. Leah wrote for the Lenoir-Rhyne student newspaper, the LRN Monthly, for two semesters. Leah is also part of Lambda Pi Eta, the communications honor society for college students.
