Administrator Spotlight: Joshua Weese

In honor of Principals’ Appreciation Month, Newton-Conover City Schools will be spotlighting its incredible Principals from now through the end of October.  Today’s feature is on Mr. Joshua Weese, Assistant Principal of Conover School!

Joshua Weese is the Assistant Principal at Conover School. He has a Bachelor’s degree in History, Secondary Education, a Master’s degree in History, a Master’s add-on in School Administration, and am currently working towards his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. He is also certified in Math and Exceptional Children. Mr. Weese is going into his third year as Assistant Principal at Conover School, and his third year of administration overall.

Responsibilities: Bus transportation, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) compliance, Testing coordinator, Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) lead, and Crisis Prevention (CPI) trainer, among other duties.

About Leah Bobbett

Leah attends Lenoir-Rhyne University as a senior. At Lenoir-Rhyne she has taken coursework in public relations, broadcast, journalism, and public speaking. She has also taken classes on argumentation, advocacy, and rhetoric. During summers previous she has worked with a number of organizations, to assist in their public relations departments, their social media departments, and planning events for them. On campus, she is currently the social media director for the SARA Club. Leah wrote for the Lenoir-Rhyne student newspaper, the LRN Monthly, for two semesters. Leah is also part of Lambda Pi Eta, the communications honor society for college students.
