Administrator Spotlight: John Robinson

In honor of Principals’ Appreciation Month, Newton-Conover City Schools will be spotlighting its incredible Principals from now through the end of October.  Today’s feature is on Mr. John Robinson, Principal of Discovery High School!

John Robinson graduated from Northwest Cabarrus High School in Kannapolis, NC. He also graduated from the University of North Carolina Charlotte with a BA in English, Appalachian State University with a Masters in Instructional Technology, Masters in School Administration, and an Education Specialist degree in Education Administration. He is preparing to defend my doctoral dissertation at Appalachian State University this coming November of 2017. Mr. Robinson taught high school and middle school English and language arts for 16 years and was a high school assistant principal and a middle school principal before coming in Discovery High School.

About Leah Bobbett

Leah attends Lenoir-Rhyne University as a senior. At Lenoir-Rhyne she has taken coursework in public relations, broadcast, journalism, and public speaking. She has also taken classes on argumentation, advocacy, and rhetoric. During summers previous she has worked with a number of organizations, to assist in their public relations departments, their social media departments, and planning events for them. On campus, she is currently the social media director for the SARA Club. Leah wrote for the Lenoir-Rhyne student newspaper, the LRN Monthly, for two semesters. Leah is also part of Lambda Pi Eta, the communications honor society for college students.
