Ms. Beal was a 2017-18 Innovative Grant recipient who serves in the district’s transition room, helping high school students. Her project focuses on the importance classroom physical environments influence the way students behave. The physical arrangement and features of the classroom environment, such as seating arrangements, lighting, and organization, can affect students’ behavior and attention to academic tasks. Students will have a variety of flexible seats, aromatherapy, physical equipment, and a mural outside of the classroom.
