NCCS Invites Teachers to Apply to Serve on District Curriculum Council

Beginning during the spring semester of the 2014-15 school year, Newton-Conover City Schools will be forming a district-wide curriculum council. This group will meet quarterly to discuss and inform curriculum, instruction, professional development, and teaching and learning opportunities. Jonathan Tharpe Brings Notoriety and New Resources to North Newton!

Mr. Jonathan Tharpe, 4th grade teacher at North Newton Elementary School, was awarded a $1,000 grant from Corning Corporation in Hickory on Wednesday, Dec. 17th. Mr. Tharpe is using the grant to implement MobyMax in every classroom at North Newton. MobyMax is for all students in grades K-8.
