Dr. Amanda Bridges was selected on behalf of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, to join the standard setting panel for her certificate area, ECYA/Exceptional  Needs Specialist: MMD. Only a few NBCTs in her certificate area were selected from the nation. Standard setting is a research-based process for establishing a performance standard that indicates accomplished teaching on those items.
